Sew Socials

VIRTUAL SEW SOCIALS are continuing!  These Sew Socials are open to members of the guild who are in good standing (those who have registered and paid for the guild year).

The guild is happy to arrange many virtual sew socials. These provide online gatherings for members to get together, sew together, and catch up - while staying safe, virtually via Zoom! Emails with the Zoom meeting details are sent to all current members in advance of each date.

Guild members are encouraged and invited to drop in to these sew socials for as much or as little time as possible. Even just a moment to say “Hi” would be great! We love to see our members at these events! There is no additional cost to attend the virtual sew socials

IN PERSON SEW SOCIALS will be scheduled and announced in the newsletter. Information will be announced soon.

We have TWO drop off dates for you to drop off your donation of fabric scraps.  Scraps must be AT LEAST the SIZE of your OUTSTRETCHED hand!  Dog bag scraps are NOT being collected at this time.

We are hoping that over the past few months you may have been able to sort your fabric scraps by colour. Donating pre-sorted scraps will make it easier for us to use them in crumb quilts, and scrappy quilts for charity.

The drop off dates and times are; 

• Friday May 27:  7:00 - 9:00 PM
• Friday June 10:  7:00 - 9:00 PM

The drop off location is in the back parking lot of the Kingsview United Church (same spot as in-person sew days - see bottom of web page for location details) at the corner of Wilson and Adelaide in Oshawa.

Again, please try and sort your fabric basket pieces into colour groupings.

If those dates don’t work for you, please contact a friend who is planning on dropping off their Presidents Challenge Crumb blocks and arrange for them to hand yours in as well.
