Renew Your Guild Mebership!

Are you crazy for quilting? Have you wanted to try this craft, but felt too uncertain about trying it on your own? Do you enjoy learning new techniques to improve your quilting skills? Why not join the Durham Trillium Quilters’ Guild? An annual membership is just $40. It includes:

  • Access to all guild events including our monthly guild meetings which feature presentations by fabulous quilters across Canada
  • Connections to other quilting events – virtually and within the GTA once COVID restrictions are lifted
  • Access to the guild’s library – all the books are about quilting!
  • The chance to participate in various community outreach programs that involve your quilting skills – from beginner to expert, everyone can contribute
  • The opportunity to stretch your skills by participating in our Block of the Month/Mystery Quilt programs, and other occasional challenges
  • A fabulous newsletter that is published every month during the guild year
  • A fabric exchange program where members donate unwanted fabric and you get to “shop” for material that may just be the perfect fit for your project
  • A motivation program to get those UFOs (unfinished objects) finally completed
  • Retreats – get away for a whole weekend of quilting while someone else does the cooking! We also organize local retreats where you sew all day, but sleep in your own bed.
  • Virtual sewing socials – join in the fun of working on your quilt project at home while connecting with other guild members online
  • And much more!

So, your $40 goes a long way for a whole lot of quilting fun. Our guild year begins in July 1 and continues until the end of June. Summer events will be open to members registered for the previous guild year as well as the new guild year.

If you want to join us, and we’re half way through our annual program (after January's meeting), you can join our guild for $20 to cover the remaining months.

Guild membership is required to attend guild meetings, sew days, workshops, and retreats, whether held in person or virtually.

Guests may attend a meeting for $10.  This guest fee will also allow you to attend a virtual sew day.

All sewing/quilting skill levels are welcome. It’s fabulous to discover that while you may not be an expert quilter (yet…), you probably have other talents that we would love for you to share with our guild. We have many opportunities for members to get involved in areas beyond just quilting.

COVID-19 – As long as government and facility restrictions allow, we will resume in-person meetings for the 2022-2023 guild year.  We have planned to have 3 virtual meetings this winter (2023 January, February, and March) to avoid potential for weather cancellations and allow speakers that wouldn't be able to attend in person due to distance.  We will continue to run virtual sew days, and are planning in-person retreats, sew days, and workshops.
